Great deal on Schick at Target 3/27/13

There is a really good deal on Schick razors at Target this week.

When you buy 2, you get a $5 Target gift card.

I bought 2 Schick Hydro Silk razors for $8.99 each. So about $18.

I used a Target printable coupon for $5/2 Schick Hydro Silk razors.

I also used 2 $4/1 Hydro Silk manufacturer's coupons.

I paid $5.86 after tax and got back a $5 Target gift card. Basically. I paid .86 for both of the razors!

Wal-Mart Money Makers - 3/15/13

I've come across these deals a few times, and these are money makers at Wal-Mart.

Here ya go:

EcoTools Bath Poufs are $0.87
There is $1/1 any EcoTools product that you can print from coupons.com.
That makes this a $0.13 money maker.

GoodNites Bed Mats are $1.47
There is a $2.00 printable from coupons.com
That makes this a $0.53 money maker.

Remember, you can print each of the above coupons up to two times from your computer.

See my previous post about the L'oreal money maker deal.

What's a Money Maker?

I know sometimes you may see us post about Money Makers.

You may be thinking, "What's a money-maker? I wanna make money!"
Well, I can't blame you. It might not be what you're thinking though.

Basically, there will be an item that is on sale, or even at regular price. Then, there will be a coupon that is worth more than the price of the item.

For example, lets say there is a bar of soap that costs .97 at Target. Here's the fun part, you have a coupon for $2.00 off that product. You end up getting that item for free, and there is $1.03 leftover. That $1.03 can be used towards the rest of your order.

Of course, your mileage may vary, depending on your store and the cashier, but this is how it's gone in my past transactions. So, I always make sure I have something in there for the overage to cover. =)

Harris Teeter Oscar Mayer Deal - 3/14/13

I have to thank Couponers of QC for this deal, she's a genius!

At Harris Teeter this week, there is a deal on Oscar Mayer hot dogs. They are BOGO. However, the chicken hot dogs have green $1 peelies on them. At the register, they're doing a promo that takes off $5 when you buy 5 of them.

I usually don't have luck when items are supposed to have peelies on them. I decided to give it a try anyway. So, today I went in, found the hot dogs, and sure enough, no peelies. So, I moved some around, and would you believe it??? There were some packages with the peelies! It was nothing short of a miracle!

I got 5 packs of them, and took the peelies off. Then I grabbed a 12 pk. of Dr. Pepper and headed to the register. After she rang everything up,  my total was close to $30. Then I handed her my VIC card, the total shot down to about $7! But it got better, I had five $1 coupons, so I handed those to her.

My total for a 12 pk. of Dr. Pepper and 5 packs of Oscar Mayer chicken hot dogs was $1.92! Head over to Harris Teeter before the peelie snatchers take 'em all! =)

What, Wal-Mart??

I can't lie, when I think if Wal-Mart, I don't think good thoughts. Lol

They don't double coupons, they don't offer money/cash cards back and they have no loyalty/rewards programs.

Shoot, it's hard enough to find decent customer service there...but enough complaining. Now for the good, I went and got a few good... FREE items there tonight. They're picture below, along with my receipt. This receipt was actually small enough to take a picture of. Here's the breakdown:

4 El Monterrey burritos $1 each
Used 4 $1 off any El Monterrey product

2 John Frieda 2 oz styling mousse
$1.47 each
Used 1 $3/2 John Frieda styling product coupon.

1 Poise Body Cooling Towelettes -$2.97
Used $3/1 Poise coupon

1 pack of gum -.50

I got the gum because my coupons were worth more than the price of the products.

I got everything except the gum free, and paid .92 for it all.

I guess Wal-Mart isn't so bad, after all.

Target Time!

Today, I decided to try my hand using coupons at Target. I must admit, it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to, but I didn't do too bad.

Pictured below are the items I purchased, and here is a breakdown:

2 Venus Tropical disposable razors
$6.49 each
Used 1 Bogo coupon and 1 $2 off coupon

4 Simply Venus Disposable Razors
$5.38 each
Used 2 Bogo coupons and 2 $2 off coupons

4 Olay ultra moisture bars
.97 each
Used 4 $2 off coupons

3 Ultra Strength Bengay
$4.89 each
Used 3 $4 off coupons

1 Hand Sanitizer
.99
No coupon, just needed some. Lol

Total paid after tax- $13.75
Got back $5.00 Target gift card

This is pretty decent, but the Bogo coupons would have auto deducted $11.99, if the cashier wouldn't have manually entered in the amount. That would have made my total around $4-5. I don't really need razors, so that's why I didn't want to pay for them.

Also, there is a Target gift card deal going on for Oral B toothbrushes. If you buy 4 of the select toothbrushes, you will get a $5 gift card. The Oral B Completes are $1.77 each and we have $1/1 coupons. My Target was out if those. Lol

Ready for Rite-Aid?

3/9/13...

Ok, I have to admit it... I have done ZERO couponing at Rite Aid, like none.... at all. The thought of adding another drug store to the mix stressed me out. I didn't wanna "invest" anymore money to get my Up Rewards started, but I keep hearing about all these good deals.

But, from what I'm hearing, now is a great time to start there with almost $0 out of pocket. I can handle that! Once again, I have to give credit where credit is due... Couponers of QC on Facebook told me about this. You can follow her here: CouponersOfQC

So, here is the deal(just copying and pasting straight from her page, you can visit her page to see the pic she is referencing): Now's a perfect time to get your Rite Aid on w minimum out of pocket on your part! The pic on this post is the Diabetes Packet you'll need to ask for fr the pharmacy for the meter deals. These are monthly deals so you'll have until the end of March to get them.

What you'll need to do is go str8 to the pharmacy & ask for a diabetes coupon booklet/packet & they will scan ur card (to enroll u in their diabetes program) and there is a coupon booklet inside that has coupons for the 2 meters that Greg was talkin about. They aren't priced on the shelf as 9.99 but they ring up for that price at the register w ur Wellness card. so the coupons in the booklet are for $10 & that makes them FREE. literally & then you get a $5UP on each (you can get up to 4 total bw the 2 meters, not 4 of each meter..).

Then see if you can find Optimum care deep conditioning packet & pay .79 for it & get back a $3 UP for that. you can get up to 3 of those.

I advise you not go with the 'load to card' option because it doesn't let you control/choose when you can use/apply your rewards. The load to card option automatically applies the Up rewards to your next transaction. Without this option, your rewards will just print at the bottom of your receipt.

One important factor I learned yesterday is the Up rewards you earn, regardless if it was printed or load2card, aren't avail/posted for 24hrs. so we can't do CVS style w them unless we already have some ups to play with (as far as multiple trips/transactions in one day, rolling Up's).

Here is where I found the Meter & Optimum Care deals from, I also got 1 Keri lotion, since it's a monthly deal, Rite Aid tracks your usage from your Wellness Card. Basically the more you 'spend' ate Rite Aid (before coupons), the more perks/discounts you get in their store.

Rite Aid 3/3/13 - 3/30/13 Monthly Deals

Breeze Meter $9.99 $10 Off Breeze Meter (Coupon Is Located In Rite Aid Diabetes Coupon Book Located in RX) Pay $0.00 Get Back $5.00 +UP Reward Or Bayer Contour EZ Next Meter $9.99 Use $10 Bayer Contour EZ Next (Coupon Is Located In Rite Aid Diabetes Coupon Book Located in RX) Pay $0.00 Get Back $5.00 +UP Reward Final Price: Free + $5.00 Money Maker Limit 4 (Meaning you can get a total of 4 of either meter)

Optimum Care Deep Conditioning Masque $0.79 Pay $0.79 Get Back $3.00 +Up Reward FInal Price: Free + $2.21 Money Maker Limit 3
